In July, Securian Financial employees were asked to complete the Great Place to Work® survey.
Eighty-three percent of us participated in the survey and we are pleased to share that we’ve attained Great Place to Work-certified status for the sixth consecutive year.1 The 2022 survey wrapped up in August with 87 percent of our associates participating, a response rate holding steady with last year’s results.
Administering the survey and reviewing the results are part of Securian Financial’s commitment to being an employer of choice among job seekers and current employees and while the Great Place to Work certification is exciting, the collective input from our employees is more important.
“Continued participation in the Great Place to Work® survey is important for several reasons,” said Kristi Fox, Securian’s chief administrative officer. “It’s a critical vehicle for learning what is on associates’ minds, and we use the responses to inform areas of focus and investment to continue to make this a great place to work.”
Rankings and comments employees provide in the survey (anonymously) give Securian Financial leaders a better understanding of what works well at the company and what needs improvement. The findings influence priorities and actions for how we build on our workplace experience and culture.
“Our associates are central to who we are and everything we do. Our enterprise strategy includes the strategic priority to develop and empower high-performing talent,” said Kristi. “The outcome we will use to measure ourselves is high associate engagement.”
